The Metrics Tool is the primary display window for analyzing quantitative measurements that Imagix 4D makes about the files, classes, functions and variables in your software. Within the Metrics Tool, you can list, sort, compare and rank all the symbols of a specific type, by whichever set of software metrics you are interested in analyzing.
Color coding indicates where a symbol's metric value lies with respect to an upper and lower threshold you set for that metric. Red indicates a violation of the upper threshold and yellow indicates a value between the two thresholds. Format alternatives let you select a display style optimized for your analysis. In absolute format, the raw values of the software metrics are displayed for each symbol. In relative and graph modes, the values are compared to the upper threshold.
